Imagine Your Story: The RPL Summer Reading Program Starts Monday, June 15th!
The Rollinsford Public Library is pleased to announce that our 2020 Summer Reading Program will start on Monday, June 15th and this year, patrons of ALL ages are invited to participate in the program!
this is exciting! how do i get started?
Instead of our usual paper reading logs, participants instead will be logging their reading in an app called READsquared! Brought to us by a generous grant from the NH State Library, READsquared is a fun, interactive way for participants to log their reading during the reading program! Participants can earn points and badges for both books read and minutes spent reading! Complete the program and you’ll receive a printable certificate of achievement!
Signing up for a Summer Reading Program account on READsquared is easy! You can either download the READsquared app to your phone or tablet; or on a computer, go to the library’s own READsquared page to get started. It takes just a few minutes to create an account and start earning points! Parents and guardians, you can create a single account for all your kiddos at one time! Need help signing up? Contact the library and we’ll be happy to lend a hand!
And the winner is…
It might be you! Everyone who signs up to participate in the Summer Reading Program is automatically entered into a drawing to win either a Kindle or one of two Amazon gift cards! Participants can earn additional chances to win by completing “missions” created by the library! The drawing will be held on Friday, July 17th.

Due to COVID-19-related restrictions, we won’t be having any Summer Reading Program activities in the library itself this year, so each week the library will be posting fun things to do, see and read on both our website and Facebook page!
Are you a kid who like to write? Imagine your story with the Friends of the Rollinsford Public Library’s Summer Reading 2020 Kid’s Creative Writing Contest! Kids from K to 6th grade are encouraged to enter their original stories or poems, which can also include artwork or illustrations! Four age categories and four winners! Writers who grant the library permission will have their work featured on our website and in the library! For contest details and entry form, click here!

The 2020 Summer Reading Program runs from Monday, June 15th until Friday, July 17th. Participants can log all their reading in READsquare anytime during the program!
